Terms and conditions

Last updated: 30 August 2026

This is an English translation, provided so you can understand the terms. The legally binding version is the Spanish original, and if the two differ, the Spanish version prevails.

What you order, what the price includes, how the test request arrives, how long it is valid and what happens if it expires, if the sample is not valid or if you want to cancel the order.

Ordering here is an agreement between whoever orders and the doctor who signs the test request. These terms govern that agreement.

2. Who can order

These terms govern distance selling between the seller and a consumer within the meaning of article 3 of the consolidated text of the Spanish General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users (Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, hereinafter TRLGDCU).

To order you must be of legal age and have legal capacity. At the last step of the order you confirm that the person having the test is of legal age. This service is not aimed at minors; for a minor, the right course is their paediatrician or doctor.

You can order for someone else, and it is common. Whoever does so confirms that the person knows and agrees, and is responsible for the accuracy of the details provided. The test request is issued in the name of the person being tested and only they can use it.

3. What exactly you are ordering

When you order a profile you order two things, and it is worth telling them apart:

  1. The issuing of a clinical laboratory test request in the name of the person to be tested, designed and signed by a registered doctor. That is the medical work: deciding which tests add something to the question the profile asks, and which do not.
  2. The carrying out of those tests at a Laboratorio Echevarne centre, including sample collection. The price of the profile already covers it.

And there are three things you are not ordering, put plainly:

  • You are not ordering a medical consultation. There is no individual assessment, medical history, examination or diagnosis.
  • You are not ordering the interpretation of the results. The section on results explains who delivers them and what can be done with them.
  • You are not ordering a tailor-made test. Everyone who orders the same profile receives exactly the same tests. What you buy is written on the profile page before you pay.

The seller is not a laboratory or a healthcare centre. Sample collection and analysis are carried out by Laboratorio Echevarne, an accredited clinical laboratory, at its centres and under its responsibility.

4. Acceptance, language and proof of the order

The contract is concluded in Spanish and is archived electronically by the seller; this English text is a translation for information. At the last step of the order you must expressly tick that you accept these terms and the privacy policy; without ticking it, the order does not continue and you do not reach the payment gateway.

The seller's records are the proof of what was ordered: which profile, with which tests, at what price, on what date and which confirmations were ticked, with their time and with the version of these terms published at that moment. The price and composition of the profile are frozen in the order, so a later change to the catalogue does not alter what was bought.

After payment, confirmation is sent by email on a durable medium, with the test request and the invoice, as required by article 98.7 of the TRLGDCU. It usually arrives within minutes. If it has not arrived after 24 hours, check your spam folder and write to the contact address.

5. Price, taxes and invoice

The price shown on the profile page is the total, and it includes sample collection and analysis of every test in the profile. There are no handling or shipping fees, and no amounts that appear at the last step.

The transaction is exempt from VAT. Article 20.One.3 of Spanish Law 37/1992 exempts care provided to individuals by medical professionals, and specifies that the exemption covers healthcare related to the diagnosis and prevention of disease, «including clinical laboratory tests». That is why the invoice is issued without VAT and with the legal reference to the exemption.

Every paid order comes with an invoice, and its download link is in the same email as the test request. You can submit it to a reimbursement health insurer. If it needs to be issued to a company or with other tax details, ask by email.

Prices may change at any time, but the price applied is always the one published when the order was placed.

6. Payment methods

Payment is made by card, on the secure screen of Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., the gateway that processes the charge. The charge is made immediately and the order is not considered placed until Stripe confirms the payment.

Neither the seller nor the doctor has access to the buyer's bank details. The card number is typed into Stripe's screen and never passes through this website. Here we keep a record of the amount charged and a reference for the transaction, nothing more.

7. How to order, step by step

  1. Choose the profile in the catalogue. Each page lists every test, the price, the preparation needed and when it makes sense.
  2. Fill in your details: full name, ID document (DNI, NIE or passport), email and, if you wish, phone and preferred centre.
  3. You are offered additional tests for the same sample, always unticked and with their price shown.
  4. Review the summary, with the breakdown and the total, tick the confirmations and press the payment button, which shows the exact amount.
  5. Pay on Stripe and return to the website.
  6. The email arrives with the test request and the invoice.
  7. Go to the centre with the test request (printed or on your phone) and your ID document.

8. The test request: what it is, how it arrives and how it is checked

The test request is a clinical document signed by a registered doctor showing the person, the tests requested and the expiry date. It is what you show at the centre. It is issued in Spanish.

The email does not attach it; it contains a download link. This is for data protection: a PDF with a name, document and list of tests is health data, and with a link it does not pass through the email provider. The link can also be opened on your phone at the laboratory door and can be revoked if needed.

Each test request carries a public code the centre can use to check that it is valid. That check only says whether it is valid, cancelled or expired. It does not say which tests it includes, so that a code visible at a reception desk does not reveal health data.

9. Validity, personal nature and expiry

The test request is valid for three months from purchase, and it is personal: only the person named on it can use it, showing their ID document at the centre. It cannot be transferred or given to someone else once issued.

If the expiry date passes, you do not lose the money. Just write to the contact address and a new test request is issued, at no cost, with the validity reset. This right can be exercised during the six months after purchase.

Keeping the money for a service that has not been provided would be keeping money that is not ours. That is why the expiry of a piece of paper does not end the right to have the test.

10. Where it can be used

At any of the 45 own Laboratorio Echevarne centres across 24 provinces, listed on the locations page with their address and opening hours. It is not valid at hospitals, clinics or other centres that have an agreement with the laboratory, even if they carry its name on the door. Check the centre on that list before you go.

11. Additions

As long as the sample has not been taken, tests can be added to the same sample. They are offered always unticked and with their price shown, and nothing is ever added to the order without ticking it expressly. When adding, the previous test request is cancelled and a new one is issued with everything together, so that there are never two contradictory papers at the centre. Each addition is an order with its own payment, its own invoice and its own withdrawal period.

12. Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 calendar days without giving any reason. As this is a service contract, the period starts on the day the contract is concluded, that is, the day of purchase (articles 102.1 and 104.a of the TRLGDCU).

How to exercise it

By writing to soporte@analisismedicos.es before the period ends. Any unequivocal statement is valid, as is the official model form below, although using it is not compulsory.

Consequences

As long as the sample has not been taken, the full amount is refunded. The refund is made by the same means of payment and within 14 calendar days, at no cost to the person withdrawing. The test request issued is cancelled.

When it no longer applies, and why

Article 103.a) of the TRLGDCU excludes withdrawal from service contracts once the service has been fully performed, where performance began with the consumer's express consent and the consumer knew that, once the contract was fully performed, they would lose the right.

Here the service is fully performed when the sample has been taken and the laboratory has issued the results. From that moment there can be no refund: the sample has been taken, the reagents have been used and the laboratory has provided its part, which cannot be undone.

By accepting these terms and ordering, you expressly request that performance begin immediately, within the withdrawal period (which is what allows the test request to be issued the same day and lets you go to the centre whenever you want), and you acknowledge that you will lose the right of withdrawal once the contract has been fully performed, as described in the previous paragraph.

And if you withdraw after the sample has been taken but before the analysis is finished, the contract has not been fully performed: in that case the proportional part of the service already provided is paid (article 108.4 of the TRLGDCU) and the rest is refunded.

Model withdrawal form

This is the form in annex I, letter B, of the TRLGDCU. You can copy it as it is and send it by email:

  • To: Antonio Mas Lorenzo, Passatge Sistres 7, local 12, 08320 El Masnou (Barcelona), soporte@analisismedicos.es.
  • I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the provision of the following service: (state the profile ordered and the order number).
  • Ordered on: (date of purchase).
  • Name of consumer.
  • Address of consumer.
  • Signature of consumer (only if submitted on paper).
  • Date.

13. If the sample is not valid or has to be taken again

For reasons beyond the control of the person tested (a haemolysed sample, a broken tube, a laboratory error), a new test request is issued at no cost to repeat whatever is needed.

Because the stated preparation was not followed (for example, not fasting when the blood test required it), the repeat is paid for by whoever ordered it. The preparation is written on each profile page and repeated in the email with the test request.

14. The results

The laboratory delivers them, directly to the person tested and through its own secure channel. Usual times range from a few days to a couple of weeks depending on the test, and they are set by the laboratory. The laboratory report is in Spanish.

The doctor who signs the test request also receives them, because they request the test, are responsible for it and are the one the laboratory alerts if a critical value appears. They never enter this website: it records which profile was ordered, not what came back, and there is not even anywhere to store it.

They are not routinely reviewed or interpreted. The reference ranges the laboratory prints next to them are a guide, but reading a whole blood test and explaining what it means in a particular case is what a medical consultation does. If they are lost, they can be requested from the laboratory or by writing to soporte@analisismedicos.es, which reaches the doctor who signs the test request.

15. Confidentiality and data protection

Everything relating to the order is subject to professional secrecy and is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018. Four details are requested, no clinical data is requested and no laboratory result enters this website. The details are in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms and is accepted at the same step.

16. Division of responsibilities

There are two parties here providing different things, so it is worth saying what each is responsible for.

The seller is responsible for the profile including the tests the page announces, for the test request being issued correctly and on time, for it arriving, and for the charge and the invoice being correct.

The signing doctor is responsible in accordance with the lex artis, that is, with the state of science and good medical practice at the time of designing and signing the protocol. It is an obligation of means, not of result: a well-designed protocol undertakes to measure what it says it measures, not that a blood test will explain what is happening to someone.

Whoever orders is responsible for the accuracy of the details they give. The name and document end up printed on the test request, and if they do not match the ID document shown, the centre may reject it. A typo is corrected and another test request is issued at no cost; false details remove the seller's responsibility for what happens at the centre.

The laboratory is responsible for sample collection, treatment at the centre, processing of the sample, accuracy of the analysis and delivery of the results. It is an accredited clinical laboratory with its own quality protocols and its own insurance.

The seller is not responsible for opening hours, waiting times or incidents inside a laboratory centre, or for interruptions of the web service due to external causes (network failures, hosting provider failures, attacks or force majeure). Nothing in this section limits the rights the TRLGDCU grants consumers, or excludes liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

17. When an order can be cancelled

Apart from withdrawal, the contract may be terminated in three cases:

  • If payment is not confirmed or is rejected by the issuing bank.
  • If the details given are false or do not allow the person to be identified, in which case a personal test request cannot be issued. We notify you by email before cancelling and refund the amount.
  • Due to force majeure or if the laboratory stops offering a test in the profile. In that case an equivalent alternative is offered or the proportional amount is refunded.

When a refund is due, the corresponding corrective invoice is also issued, with its reason. An issued invoice is never deleted: it is corrected.

18. Complaints and dispute resolution

About the order, the test request, the charge or the invoice, complaints are made by email to the contact address. Every complaint is answered within a maximum of fifteen days from submission, as required by article 21.3 of the TRLGDCU, and the reply is in writing so there is a record.

About sample collection, treatment at the centre or the analysis, the laboratory provides that service and it is the laboratory you should contact. If you prefer, you can write here and we will pass it on.

Out-of-court resolution

The seller is not a member of any consumer arbitration board or alternative dispute resolution body. If a complaint is not resolved, written information will be given about at least one competent body and about whether the seller will take part in the procedure, as required by article 40.3 of Spanish Law 7/2017. In any case, you can always go to the municipal consumer information office or the consumer affairs body of the relevant autonomous community.

There is no link here to the European online dispute resolution platform, and it is not an oversight: Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 abolished it and it stopped operating on 20 July 2025. Linking to it, as many websites still do, would send a consumer to a page that no longer exists.

19. Applicable law and courts

These terms are governed by Spanish law, in particular the TRLGDCU and Law 34/2002 on information society services. Under article 29 of the latter, contracts with consumers are presumed to be concluded at the consumer's place of residence.

For any dispute, the courts of the consumer's place of residence have jurisdiction. Article 90.2 of the TRLGDCU considers any clause imposing otherwise to be unfair, so there is none here.

20. Changes to these terms

These terms may be changed to adapt them to the service or to the law. The date of the current version is at the very top, and each order is governed by the version published on the day it was placed, which is the one archived with it. A later change never worsens the terms of an order already placed.

21. The other legal documents
