This is an English translation, provided so you can understand the terms. The legally binding version is the Spanish original, and if the two differ, the Spanish version prevails.

1. Who owns this website

In accordance with article 10 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI-CE), these are the details of the owner of analisismedicos.es:

Trading name
Análisis Médicos
Owner
Antonio Mas Lorenzo
Tax ID (NIF)
74231831K
Address
Passatge Sistres 7, local 12, 08320 El Masnou (Barcelona)
Activity
Distance selling of blood test profiles: a registered doctor designs and signs the test request, and sample collection and analysis are carried out by an accredited clinical laboratory.

The owner is an individual working on their own account, not a company. That is why there is no company name, company tax code or Commercial Registry details: the tax ID shown above is their identity document. Nor is there any prior administrative authorisation; the section on what this service is explains why it is not needed (article 10.1.b) and c) of the LSSI-CE).

2. The doctor who signs the test requests

Medicine is a regulated profession, and article 10.1.d) of the LSSI-CE requires these details to be published:

Name
Dr. Antonio Mas
Qualification
Medical specialist in Endocrinology and Nutrition (Médico especialista en Endocrinología y Nutrición)
Issued in
Spain
Medical college
Colegio Oficial de Médicos de Barcelona
Registration no.
08-46289

Registration can be checked in the public register of the Spanish Medical Association (Organización Médica Colegial) by typing the national number 080846289: consultapublica.cgcom.es. It is a search tool in Spanish, not a profile page, so the number has to be typed in.

The professional rules governing this practice are Law 44/2003 on the regulation of the health professions (Ley de ordenación de las profesiones sanitarias); Law 41/2002 on patient autonomy and rights and obligations regarding clinical information and documentation; the Statutes of the Organización Médica Colegial; and the 2022 Code of Medical Ethics, available at cgcom.es. Both laws are published in the Spanish Official State Gazette (BOE).

3. What this service is and what it is not

It is worth saying precisely, because everything else follows from it.

What you order is protocolised medical judgement. A registered doctor has designed each profile, deciding which tests add something and which do not, and signs the test request in the name of the person who orders it. That is a medical act, and it is carried out by a professional, not by an establishment.

This website is not a laboratory or a healthcare centre. We have no testing facilities, we do not take blood, we do not process samples and we do not issue results. All of that is done by Laboratorio Echevarne, an accredited clinical laboratory, at its own centres and under its own responsibility.

And that is why there is no healthcare registration number, which is the question that usually comes next. Royal Decree 1277/2003 regulates the register of healthcare centres, services and establishments, that is, physical premises where patients are seen. There are no premises here: there is a doctor who practises and a laboratory that is authorised and registered. Each is responsible for its own part.

Ordering a profile is not a medical consultation. There is no individual assessment, medical history, examination or diagnosis. Everyone who orders the same profile receives exactly the same profile: no information given when ordering changes what is requested.

4. The content of this website is not medical advice

The profile pages, category pages and guides explain what each test measures and in which situations it usually makes sense to request it. This is general, educational information, aimed at anyone who reads it, and it does not replace the assessment of a healthcare professional who knows the particular case.

Results are not interpreted here. There is no service, form or assistant that says what a value means for a particular person. A blood test can only be read in a clinical context, and that context is built in a consultation.

The calculators give a number, never a conclusion. They return the result of a published formula, with its units and its source, and stop there. They do not give verdicts or place anyone in a risk category. That line is deliberate: it is what separates a calculation from medical device software within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745.

In an emergency or with a worrying symptom, the right thing is to go to an emergency department or your usual doctor, not to read a website.

5. Terms of use of the site

Access to this website is free and does not by itself start any commercial relationship. Anyone who browses it becomes a user and accepts this legal notice from the outset.

By using the website, the user undertakes to:

  • Use it in accordance with the law, good faith and public order, and not use its content for unlawful purposes.
  • Not reproduce, copy, distribute, transform or publicly communicate the content without the owner's written authorisation.
  • Not introduce viruses or any other program that could damage the systems, attempt to access restricted areas, or take actions that overload the service or prevent it from working normally.
  • Not use false identities or provide third parties' details without their knowledge. When ordering for someone else, the buyer confirms that the person is aware and agrees.
  • Not damage the image of the owner or of the professionals mentioned.

The owner may withdraw or suspend access for anyone who breaches the above, without prior notice and without any right to compensation.

6. Security and availability

The whole site is served encrypted over HTTPS, and order data is stored in a database hosted in the European Union, with row-level access control and no public screen able to read data from another order. The documents issued travel through long, random links that can be revoked.

That said, no system connected to the Internet is infallible, and this website does not claim otherwise. The owner does what is reasonable to keep the service available and secure, but is not liable for interruptions due to external causes (network failures, hosting provider failures, attacks or force majeure) or for damage arising from unlawful or negligent use of the service by a third party.

7. Intellectual and industrial property

The texts, the website design, the composition of each blood test protocol, the calculators and the test finder are the work of the owner and are protected by Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/1996, which approves the consolidated text of the Intellectual Property Law. Reproducing them in whole or in part requires written authorisation.

Third-party trademarks mentioned belong to their owners. The name Laboratorio Echevarne appears because users need to know who will see them and be able to check it, not as our own sign or as a marketing claim. The same applies to the trade names of specific tests.

8. Links to other websites

This website links to third-party sites (the laboratory's centre finder, the register of doctors, the Spanish Official State Gazette, the Spanish Data Protection Agency and the sources for each calculator). The sole purpose of those links is to give access to information that can be checked. The owner does not control or answer for their content, and linking to them does not imply any relationship between the parties.

9. Commercial communications

Article 21 of the LSSI-CE prohibits sending advertising by email to people who have not asked for it. There is no newsletter, mailing list or promotional mailing here.

The only emails sent from this website are of two kinds, and both are requested:

  • Order emails (the test request, the invoice, an incident). They are transactional: they are sent because something has been ordered.
  • The reminder to repeat the blood test, and only if the interval has been chosen expressly. Each one carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

10. Data protection

The processing of personal data is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and by Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on the protection of personal data and the guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD). What data is requested, what for, who else sees it and how long it is kept is set out in the privacy policy. That is also where it explains why this website sets no cookies and has no consent banner.

11. Applicable law and courts

This legal notice is governed by Spanish law. For any dispute about the use of the website, and in accordance with article 29 of the LSSI-CE, contracts with consumers are presumed to be concluded at the consumer's place of residence.

Nothing written here obliges a consumer to go to court away from their home. Article 90.2 of the consolidated text of the Spanish General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users considers the opposite to be unfair, so the competent courts are those of the consumer's place of residence.

12. Changes to this notice

The owner may change this legal notice to adapt it to changes in the service or in the law. The date of the current version is at the very top, and it is what shows which text was published on a given day. Changes apply from the moment they are published; what was ordered before is governed by the terms and conditions published on that day.
